Harvest Ministry Strategy

Print

Our ministry strategy is to evangelize unbelievers, establish believers in their faith, and equip and deploy them into service for Christ.

Evangelize

1. Welcoming Events: People in our lives (and others in the community) will be invited to attend events that provide a friendly environment in which our relationships can be cultivated, allowing them to see the difference in our lives as Christians, and allowing them to begin to overcome various obstacles preventing a person from making a decision for Christ.

2. Challenging Events: People in our lives (and others in the community) will be invited to attend events (including non-Harvest outreach events) that challenge their understanding of the claims of Christ, the Gospel, their personal need for Christ, and give them an opportunity to make a decision for Christ. Worship services will also be relevant and sensitive to unbelievers even as those services focus primarily on worship and teaching for believers.

Establish

3. Church-Wide Worship: All believers together will be able to participate in worship services that focus on encountering God through participatory worship and teaching, establishing believers in our life with Christ.

4. Church-Wide Prayer: All believers together will be able to participate in focused prayers that praises, thanks, and makes requests to God, that expects Him to show His Glory and Power in and through us. This happens primarily through our bi-weekly event called "Impact Group."

5. Small Group Fellowships: All believers in small groups will be able to meet together for caring, discipleship and accountability to enable those groups to practice Biblical truth on an ongoing basis with mutual support.

6. Individual Discipleship Training: All believers, a few at a time, will be able to participate in training in a common set of Biblical principles: modeled, practiced and tested in the contest of real life situations to equip individuals to put these principles into practice.

Equip and Deploy

7. Service Opportunities. Believers, as they become increasingly involved in God's work, will be encouraged to choose from many opportunities to serve God by serving the HCC body of believers, those in our surrounding communities, and others throughout the world (missions), so that we can work effectively together as "one body have many parts."

8. Shepherding Community. Believers who are motivated, trained, faithful, and held accountable for actively equipping the HCC body, will be asked to work together to support a single vision, and be involved in training and encouragement as a community.
